We are all, individually, responsible for our own health. We make choices about what we take into our bodies as regards food, fluids and substances and we make choices on how we look after our health – mental and physical. We also have the option to ignore potential health problems, take ourselves off to our local GP and hope for the best or give ourselves that extra edge in health care by taking out health insurance.

Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte was selected last week to participate in a national telehealth program called Connected Care, the fourth rural location to be selected for the service
The Linhart Public Relations agency in Denver announced Rio Grande Hospital’s selection for the telehealth program last week.
Other telehealth sites include facilities in Buena Vista, Lamar and Leadville.
The initiative will connect patients in rural areas of Colorado with medical specialists located hundreds of miles away, using advanced audio and video technologies and health resources to create an experience remarkably similar to an in-person doctor visit.
