I am a pre-med student and am wondering how doctors will be affected by health care reform in terms of salary and work.
If doctors will be severely adversely affected, it’s not too late to go to law school.
Help me decide whether I should still pursue medicine despite the reform.

I’ve been planning on volunteering at a local hospital during this summer as part of a bunch of stuff I want to do for medical school. However, it seems that everyone applied last month and now there are absolutely no positions available near me.
Does anyone know of some alternative volunteer work that would show that I am interested in pursuing a career in medicine?
