White House Health Care Summit Part I

Congressional Democrats and Republicans gathered at Blair House for a discussion on health care legislation with President Obama. He first announced the idea for this event during a Super Bowl Sunday interview with CBS news Anchor Katie Couric. Since then, the President has released a health care plan drawing largely from two bills passed by House and Senate Democrats. We heard opening comments from the President and congressional leaders followed by discussions on health care costs, insurance reforms, deficit reduction and expanding coverage.

    @TheHonestPolitics

So get rid of your healthcare then. And everyone whom opposes it, do the same.

It really isn’t rocket science is it?

  3. wiley086 says:

Not to mention the fact that it is his own staffers that select the 10 letters. The staffers that he appointed, which have the same points of view. I’m sure they just randomly selected the 10 most approving or heartwarming letters (definately not any letters of disapproval)… lol…politics eh?

  4. transending17 says:

If someone I care about writes to me and tells me how they feel, guess what, I’m going to know how they feel….lol…politics..

  5. transending17 says:

Lets not under estimate the American People, and their ability to write to their Commander and Chief to let him know how they feel. =)

Obama was a Senator the whole time he was a parent. Elected in 1996, became a parent in 1998. How can he say that he knows what the average parent feels with a sick child (when he was younger, lol)? @ 8:00.

There are some in society who cling to a belief system that does not trust manmade medicine or government run health-care!

Do you agree with me Godly people have the right to believe in their God the way they see fit? It is the responsibility of all U.S. Citizens to protect each others religious rights.

I am going to stand with those who have no voice, those religious folk who will never obey the government mandates, who have pledged their souls to a higher power. What about you?

  8. TheHonestPolitics says:

Who will say NO to the Washington beast as it plans to crush Religious disciples, forcing them into unscriptural medical practices, which will damn their souls and destroy their belief system?

Who has the gumption to stand up to the machine and say:

Our rights are greater than your demands upon us!

Who shall speak for those who quietly believe in humble practice?

Who shall face down the Washington tyrants as they promote themselves to God-Hood?

  9. TheHonestPolitics says:

Many orthodox zealots from all faiths possess a firm belief that any form of manmade medical practice is blasphemy. While others believe, scripture condemns certain practices such as blood transfusions.

At this point, the government run health-care scheme begins to crush the religious rights of those U.S. Citizens who hold true to their core beliefs.

Who will stand up for the Amish, who due to their religious beliefs, lack the voice to object?

  10. TheHonestPolitics says:

Make no mistake, when given the choice between God or Country, God is still the winner! Ever wonder why Mr. Obama has insisted that America is no longer a Christian nation? Is it because by making a positive theological statement, he aligns himself with the religious communities and thereby the agenda of National Health-care would be stymied.

I just heard a promotional piece encouraging New Yorker’s to support the soda tax, that’s right…the soda tax! So, if you support a soda tax, you will make fat people skinny, ailing people healthy because you empowered the
government to take more money out of your pocket! I thought doctors encourage healthy choices not the IRS?
Tell BO to stop smoking and the obese Surgeon General to drop 50 pounds and then come talk to me about a soda tax!

  14. bigdogphoto says:

How sick in the head are these people? Do you see how many useful idiots buy this shit?
The utility company wants to put a “smart meter” on my house, the Feds bought my mortgage, what’s next? I need government to tell me what light bulb I can use, what toilet I can use, what temp to set my thermostat, what car I can drive?
This is about centralized power and control, not health care. Read the Constitution to your children and vote out all progressives before all liberty is eroded.

Japan has a great system; Make all health care companies non-profit and limit the pay for executives. People should not be making fortunes off other peoples illness or? injury. The huge amount of money skimmed off the top by these health organizations (who also own many of our hospitals) is a major factor in the increase in rates and care. The rates on low risk groups have gone so high, they don’t feel the need to participate, small wonder.

No generic meds due to back room deal with big pharma,,
No Insurance competition across state lines..
    No TORT REFORM ..
Also, hypocratic oathe is ignored by physicians LEAVING profession due to denial of treatment to patients with multiple conditions that are too expensive to treat..
Back room Union cadillac 40% fee Exemption is passed onto the SUPER-HIGH Premium Rates set by gov’t that will create expand to 118 NEW beaurocratic agencies that come between YOU and YOUR DOCTOR..
    It BLOWS!!

  18. MegaKatie4 says:

A bunch of rich white pricks deciding what is going to happen to millions of poor and middle class people. I wish they were just like regular people, then, maybe, they would be able to have a proper perspective. All it is, is shit talk. Trying to one-up the opposite party. Its immature bullshit, and I know plenty of “regular” people that show a lot more maturity than any of these fat cat pricks. Figure it out, or people get sick and die. That would certainly be a fail for the nation.

  20. usam1981 says:

@WilliamHCarney I doubt that very much. A poll done by CNN, the Communist News Network, usually a BIG Obama supporter, shows that 76% of the american people either don’t want the bill, or want to start the bill over. The Dems don’t keep it real, they are lieing to you.

BO’s health care bill is in such demand by the American people that he may be selling Judgeships for votes. BO invited ten senators to meet him at the White House including Jim Matheson of Utah who formerly voted against the bill .President Obama nominated Matheson’s brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit at the same time he is meeting to do some good old fashioned Chicago thug style arm twisting.

The party of big government marches forward!
